Description

In this Furniture item tutorial we take a look at making a simple custom beanbag seat with custom pose. The project starts using the default Cube and scene in Blender before using Append to bring the mesh in to the Furniture Starter File for IMVU prep. Once this is done the result is brought into the Pose Starter File to create the custom avatar pose which is then exported to FBX separately from the furniture file, both then imported and assembled in IMVU, an Action being needed for the pose.

Alternative Pose Starter File (cf. more info below) | c. 3 MB.

Design note: when setting up an action in actions tab for the pose (the XAF file converted from imported FBX), the Trigger value for a single seat item can be stance.Idle or stance.[Customlable], i.e. stance.Beanbag1. For items with multiple seats the trigger and seat node labels (names) need to be the same and numerically increase, e.g. three seats might be stance.Beanbag1 through stance.Beanbag3.
