Description

A time-lapse making a simple PNGtuber ‘toon’ style vTuber avatar character sheet for use with image based interactive puppeteers. Using a vector-based graphics program a number of primitives shapes are placed and converted to curves to define the main shape. Each is then filled with a colour representing a typical candy cane (white, orange, yellow). For blending between regions a smaller band is used, any inconsistencies hidden under a ‘toon‘ outline. Next the eyes, simple circles, and mouth, a random shape, are made, duplicated and altered for the different ‘states’ – eyes open/mouth open, eyes open/mouth closed, eyes closed/mouth closed, eyes closed/mouth open. Once everything is finally positioned each ‘state’ is exported to PNG with transparent background ready for use.

Images will work in any PNGtuber application subject to any naming conventions – where specific names are required simply rename each *.png appropriately and drop into place.
