Design note: additional considerations installing the IMVU Toolkit to Blender 4.5 LTS;

Important: to ensure the Toolkit functions correctly it’s important the contents of the ZIP file are not extracted, it must be loaded as an Add-ons in Blender Preferences intact, as a *.zip.

Troubleshooting

If the IMVU Toolkit has been installed correctly clicking an adding or initiating each tool will load into the corresponding defaults for creating a particular type of content. If this is not the case, parts appear missing, non-functional, cannot be selected, or an error appears in Blenders status bar, it likely means the Toolkit wasn’t installed correctly. In such instances remove (from Blender Preferences) and re-install.

Windows 11

Windows 11 has tighter controls over most installation processes so User Account Control may need to be changed. This can be found in Windows Control Panel; type “Control Panel” in taskbar search and click “Control Panel (System)” that appears in the results. In the window that appears, click User Accounts, then User Accounts (this appears twice in different contexts). On the “User Accounts” page, click “Change User Account Control settings” then click or drag the blue indicator closer towards “Never Notify“. Alternatively just type “User Account Control” in taskbar search and follow the last step to modify the setting.

User Account Control
In User Account Control, lower or ‘disable’ the systems control over what can be installed as this can prevent applications unknown to Windows from being installed or running – if disabling this setting be aware of subsequent computer use and what’s being manually installed.
