Subject: No reply.

Body: Hello, my perverted friend.

We've actually known each other for a while, at least I know you.
You can call me Big Brother or the All-Seeing Eye.
I'm a hacker who a few months ago gained access to your device, including your browser history and webcam.
I recorded some videos of you **** to highly controversial "adult" videos.
I doubt you'd want your family, coworkers, and your entire [scraped email address] contact list to see footage of you ****,
especially considering how **** your favorite "genre".
I will also publish these videos on **** sites, they will go viral and it will be physically impossible to remove them from the Internet.

How did I do this?
Because of your disregard for internet security, I easily managed to install a Trojan on your hard disk.
Thanks to this, I was able to access all the data on your device and control it remotely.
By infecting one device, I was able to gain access to all the other devices.

My spyware is embedded in the drivers and updates its signature every few hours, so no antivirus or firewall can ever detect it.
Now I want to offer a deal: a small amount of money in exchange for your former worry free life.

Transfer $1300 USD to my bitcoin wallet:[bitcoin address]

As soon as I receive confirmation of the payment,
I will delete all the videos that compromise you, remove the virus from all your devices and you will never hear from me again.
It's a very small price for not destroying your reputation in the eyes of others, who think that you are a decent man, according to your messengers.
You can think of me as some sort of life coach who wants you to start appreciating what you have.

You have 48 hours. I will receive a notification as soon as you open this email, and from this moment, the countdown will begin.
If you've never dealt with cryptocurrency before, it's very easy. Simply type "cryptocurrency exchange" into a search engine, and then all set.

Here's what you shouldn't do:
- Don't reply to my email. It was sent from a temporary email account.
- Don't call the police.
Remember, I have access to all your devices, and as soon as I notice such activity, it will automatically lead to the publishing of all the videos.
- Don't try to reinstall your system or reset your device. First of all, I already have the videos,
and secondly, as I said, I have remote access to all your devices, and once I notice such an attempt, you know what happens.

Remember, crypto addresses are anonymous, so you won't be able to track down my wallet.

So long story short, let's resolve this situation with a benefit for me and you.
I always keep my word unless someone tries to trick me.

Lastly, a little advice for the future. Start taking your online security more seriously.
Change your passwords regularly and set up multi-factor authentication on all your accounts.

Best wishes.

FAQ on games, gaming & IT / TikTok Live Studio CAMERA requirement - workaround
« Last post by kat on September 01, 2024, 06:23:17 PM »
@katsbits

Worksaround for the new CAMERA requirement to live stream with TikTok Studio. Needs OBS for this (but Twitch should work just as well). More info + pics here https://www.katsbits.com/community/index.php/topic,1319.0.html - this is an annoying update and unnecessary requirement for live streaming, essentially blocking Users from live streaming without potentially revealing PII. Work around it using a greenscreen while being compliant with the requirement. workaround hack #greenscreen tiktoklive livestreaming camera livestudio iRL pngtuber

♬ original sound - katsbits - katsbits

Problem
As of Aug 2024 TikTok requires a camera source to be active at all times to be able to live stream through TikTok Studio. This means the user is being forced to show their face or other potentially identifying information, or showing something else, e.g. a PNGtuber or vTuber avatar. Where the user wants to live stream their desktop only, for example while gaming, the placement of an onscreen 'avatar' (virtual or real), no matter how small, may interfere with or block portions of the screen that would otherwise be visible to the viewer. To work around this problem a 'greenscreen' can be set up, essentially making the camera otherwise invisible even though it's active.

Solution
Step #1 Create a 'Greenscreen' Image
In an image editor, create an standard image that's 100% or fully saturated GREEN, 0 red and 0 blue (e.g. R:0, G:255, B:0) - this can be 1 x 1 pixel or any size up to a recommended 1920 x 1080 maximum. Save this as a PNG (preference), or JPG.

Step #2 OBS 'greenscreen'
Open OBS Studio in Scenes click the "+" to add a new Scene (optionally right-click and rename). With new Scene highlighted, in Sources click the "+" button and add an Image source. Edit the source (click the "Open Source Properties" 'cog') and browse to and load in the greenscreen image saved previously. Click OK. The image will appear in the Preview window.

Step #3 Virtual Camera
Still in OBS, once the greenscreen image is loaded, in Controls click the Start Virtual Camera button to activate the greenscreen image as a 'camera'.

Switching to TikTok Studio;

Step #4 Add Camera Source
In TikTok Studio add a Camera source (as directed by the new requirement) and set the Camera property to use OBS Virtual Camera.

Step #5 Camera Background
Scroll down and set the Background property to Green screen. Click Apply. In the Preview area the camera widget will be highlighted with a red outline but nothing will be visible within confirming the camera is now invisible to the viewer.

Blog / SCAM ALERT: Testimony of How I Recovered my Lost Cryptocurrency!
« Last post by kat on August 24, 2024, 10:55:52 AM »
There appears to be a new 'crypto-currency' scam starting to do the rounds. Emails are typically sent from a 'spoofed' addresses belonging to a legitimate business or company so as to appear valid (similarly the FaceBook profile). Being a scam, the 'reply' address is likely a 'honeypot' meant to receive messages that confirm the Receivers email (you) as being live and responsive to follow up and scamming. Needless to say DO NOT RESPOND and just junk.

Message comes through as follows;

Well, hello there, my perverted friend.
I'll get right to the point.
We've actually known each other for a while now, at least I've known you.
You can call me Big Brother or the All-Seeing Eye.
I'm a hacker who a few months ago gained access to your device, including your browser history and webcam.
And I recorded some videos of you **** to highly controversial "adult" videos.
I doubt very much you'd want your family, coworkers, and your entire contact list to see footage of you ****, especially given the specifics of your favorite genre.
I'll also put these videos on **** sites, and they'll go viral, so much so that it will be physically impossible to remove them from everywhere.

How did I do that?
Because of your disregard for Internet security, I was able to easily install a Trojan horse on your device.
which accessed all the data on your device and allowed me to control it remotely.
Once I infected one device, I had no problem accessing all the other devices.
My spyware is embedded in the drivers and updates its signature every few hours, so no antivirus or firewall can even detect it.
So now I'm just gonna give you a condition. A small sum in exchange for your former quiet life.

Agree, it's a very small price to pay for not destroying your reputation in the eyes of others who, judging by your correspondence in messengers, has an opinion of you as a decent human being.
You can think of me as a kind of mentor who wants you to start appreciating what you have.
You have 48 hours - I'll be notified as soon as you open this letter, and from then on it's a countdown.
If you've never dealt with cryptocurrency before, it's super easy - type "crypto exchange" into a search engine, and the next thing to do.
Here's what you shouldn't do:
Don't reply to my email. It was sent from a disposable e-mail account.
Don't call law enforcement. Remember, I have access to all of your devices, and as soon as I notice such activity, it will automatically lead to the release of all of your data.
Do not attempt to reinstall your system or factory reset your device.
First of all, I already have the video and all your data, and secondly, as I already said, I have remote access to all your devices and as soon as I notice such an attempt, it will lead to irreversible consequences.
Remember that crypto-addresses are anonymous, so you won't be able to figure me out from my wallet.
Anyway, let's make this a win-win situation.
I always keep my word, unless I'm being tricked.
Advice for the future: take more seriously your security on the Internet. Also regularly change passwords and set up multi-factor authorization on all your accounts.

The Interplay of Data Science and AI: The Role of AI Detectors in Modern Technology

In recent years, data science and artificial intelligence (AI) have become intertwined in shaping the future of technology. As these fields advance, they drive innovations that impact industries, governments, and everyday life. One of the emerging tools in this landscape is the AI detector, a crucial technology that ensures the responsible and effective use of AI systems.

Understanding Data Science and AI

Data science is a multidisciplinary field that involves extracting insights and knowledge from structured and unstructured data using various techniques, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining. The core of data science lies in its ability to process vast amounts of data, uncover patterns, and make data-driven decisions.

On the other hand, AI refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are designed to think, learn, and adapt. AI systems can analyze data, recognize speech, solve complex problems, and even exhibit human-like creativity. Machine learning, a subset of AI, focuses on developing algorithms that enable machines to learn from data and improve over time.

The Importance of AI Detectors

As AI becomes more pervasive, concerns about its ethical use, reliability, and potential biases have grown. AI detectors are tools developed to address these concerns by identifying AI-generated content, detecting biases in AI models, and ensuring transparency in AI decision-making processes.

An AI detector can serve multiple purposes, including:

1.Detecting AI-Generated Content: With the rise of AI-driven content creation, distinguishing between human-generated and AI-generated content has become essential. AI detectors can analyze text, images, and even videos to determine if they were created by an AI model. This is particularly useful in maintaining the authenticity of information in media, social platforms, and academic research.

2. Bias Detection: AI models are only as good as the data they are trained on. If the training data contains biases, the AI system is likely to replicate and amplify these biases in its outputs. AI detectors can analyze model behavior and outputs to identify and mitigate biases, ensuring fair and equitable AI applications.

3. Ensuring Transparency and Accountability: AI detectors contribute to the transparency of AI systems by making their operations more understandable to humans. They can provide insights into how decisions are made, why certain recommendations are given, and whether the AI system adheres to ethical standards.

The Future of AI Detectors in Data Science

As AI continues to evolve, the role of AI detectors will become increasingly important. Data scientists and AI researchers are working to enhance these tools, making them more sophisticated and capable of handling the complexities of modern AI systems. The integration of AI detectors into data science workflows will ensure that AI models are not only powerful but also ethical and trustworthy.

In the near future, we can expect AI detectors to become standard in industries where AI is prevalent, such as finance, healthcare, and law enforcement. Their ability to safeguard against unintended consequences and ensure the responsible use of AI will be crucial in building a future where AI and data science work hand in hand to benefit society.

Conclusion

The synergy between data science and AI is driving significant technological advancements, but it also raises challenges that must be addressed. AI detectors are emerging as vital tools in this ecosystem, ensuring that AI systems are transparent, unbiased, and ethically sound. As we continue to rely on AI for decision-making and content creation, the role of AI detectors will be indispensable in maintaining the integrity and trustworthiness of AI-driven solutions.
