Some very old services (the old ikonboard forum and archive news systems) have finally been removed. Links and bookmarks should forward to the forums (the current forum/news system).

i didn't even though the old forum was still active. is this to save on server space?

It's been archived since the switch to this one mainly because search engines were still hitting it. Time to pull it.

Over the past few weeks (Feb/Mar 2017) KatsBits has been migrated over to the secure https protocol from standard http. There are still a few remaining hiccups from this process, namely old content linked to and referenced using "http" throwing a spanner in the works, resulting in "Unsecured Connection" or "Mixed Content" browser error messages.

When this happens the connection is secure despite the warnings.

To fully address the issue each post and its content has to be manually updated so its linked and referenced correctly, which may take some time to do given the size of the forum.

To this end members are encouraged to use the "Report to Moderator" link at the bottom of posts exhibiting this error which will let the team know something has been missed and/or needs fixing. Your patience is appreciated.

Today (Thurs 18th Jan) starting from about 20:30 GMT (8:30pm), the server hosting KatsBits will be shut down a short period for a maintenance update. The site will be off-line for an hour or so. If there are any services issues, notice will be posted to Twitter.
