I am SO, SO, SO very thankful for the text and image based tutorials! I've had to go over them numerous times, just to get things into my head. The videos (even Gryllus') are just too fast to follow.
The concepts of the Blender software can be really hard to grasp, for a beginner like myself. I'm familiar with ViaCad, loved TurboCad and AutoCAD. I treasure my Paint Shop Pro 7. However, Blender took me into an entirely different world!
I am not learning it for drawing game scenes. Perhaps not having an interest in gaming hampers my ability to grasp Blender's features immediately, I don't know. I just want to be artistic and creative. Blender certainly is challenging. I cannot say that I'm bored!
