Using SketchUp for IMVU (LIVE!)
« on: February 01, 2019, 04:40:05 PM »
Recorded live on KatsBits Twitch, jazzKat (Kat) explains how to export meshes, ostensibly furniture and rooms, from SketchUp, processing them for import into IMVU using FBX (video may include off topic chat). See links below for SketchUp example file.
IMPORTANT: as discussed in the video below, SketchUp uses the bottom-right-right corner of the node proxies as the origin point of each element so they need to be offset 50% on all axes to replicate what IMVU needs to see (this assumes using the standard reference file linked below).

- Download SketchUp sample and example files here.
- Download Autodesk FBX Converter 2013 here.
- Download Autidesk FBX Review here.
