Subject: Leaked uncensored photos from your device are about to be shared to public.

Body: Greetings!

I am a professional hacker and you were under my observation for quite some time now.
Nowadays, it is not really hard to organize, mostly for IT enthusiast like me.

You may be wondering, how did I manage to spy on you?
Well, there are plenty of harmful websites out there and it turns out that you like to visit them during your free time.
As result, my spyware has downloaded to your device. This spyware detects all image-format files on iOS devices (HEIF, HEVC or JPEG) as well as Android (JPEG, JPG or HEIC) devices.

The most interesting part is that whenever you connect to WIFI or to mobile network (3G/4G+/H+/LTE),
all your photos get quietly synchronized in silent mode to my own cloud storage.

I have collected sufficient content in order to share to public your undisguised photos in social networks,
like Instagram or Facebook in a form of new posts or news, or via personal messages of WhatsApp Viber, Telegram etc.

Hence, even if you delete those photos from your device, I still have got a copy of them in my cloud, so you won't be able to delete them as well.

In order to avoid YOUR UNCENSORED HOT NEWS being shared to your contacts,
I can suggest a fair deal to you. This deal is valid within 72 hours.

Based on this deal, you need to transfer 1000 USD (in Bitcoin equivalent) to my bitcoin wallet and after that I will completely disappear from your life.

In event that you are still unaware about how to complete bitcoin funds transfer,
you can easily solve this issue by Googling "Buy Bitcoin with Credit Card or Debit Card" or something similar.

Besides that, there are plenty of P2P services that can transfer the required Bitcoin amount to my wallet in exchange for funds transfer from your bank card (Visa, MasterCard or Maestro).

Here is my Bitcoin address: [bitcoin address]

I really want to settle this situation in a peaceful manner and I believe you want that too.

Nothing personal, it is simply my job.
Make sure you use valid Antivirus software and stay away from unwanted websites.
Take care of yourself.

Subject: For your own safety, I highly recommend reading this email

Body: Hello,
You are in big trouble.
However, don't panic right away. Listen to me first, because there is always a way out.

You are now on the radar of an international group of hackers, and such things never end well for anyone.
I'm sure you've heard of Anonymous. Well, compared to us, they are a bunch of schoolboys.
We are a worldwide network of several thousand professionals, each with their own role.

Someone hacks corporate and government networks, someone cooperates with intelligence agencies on the most delicate tasks, and someone (including me) deals with people like you to maintain the infrastructure of our group.
"What kind of people like me?" - that is the question you are probably asking yourself now.

The answer is simple: people who like to watch highly controversial and, shall we say, unconventional **** on the internet that most normal people would consider perverted.
But not you!

In order to leave you without any doubts, I'll explain how I found it out.
Two months ago, my colleagues and I installed spyware software on your computer and then gained access to all of your devices, including your phone.
It was easy - one of those many pop-ups on **** sites was our work.

I think you already understand that we would not write to an ordinary man who watches "vanilla" and even **** **** - there is nothing special about that.
But the things you're watching are beyond good and evil.
So after accessing your phone and computer cameras, we recorded you **** to extremely controversial videos.
There is a close-up footage of you and a little square on the right with the videos you're ****.
However, as I said earlier, there is always a way out, because even the most degraded sinner deserves leniency.
You are lucky today because I am not a sadist who enjoys other people's suffering.
Only money matters to me.

Here is your salvation: you must transfer $1300 in Bitcoin to this BTC cryptocurrency wallet: [bitcoin address]

You have exactly 48 hours to make the payment, so think less, and do more.
As soon as I receive confirmation of the transaction, I will delete all compromising content and permanently disable our computer worm.
Believe me, I always abide by gentleman's agreements. Even with people who are hardly gentlemen. Because it's nothing personal, just business.

If I do not receive a payment, I will send all videos of you to every person in your contact list, messengers and email.
Relatives, loved ones, colleagues, friends-everyone you've ever been in contact with will receive them.
You understand perfectly well that you will never be able to wash this stain on your reputation.
Everyone will remember you as sick as ****.
Your life will be completely ruined, and, most likely, only a tightened noose around your neck will be able to save the day.

If you haven't dealt with crypto before, I suppose it won't be difficult for you to figure it all out.
Simply type in the "crypto exchange" into the search bar and pay with a credit card. Besides, based on your browser history, you are a savvy user.
When you want to, you can dig into the darkest depths of the Internet, so I'm sure you will be able to find out what is what.

Here is what my colleagues and I should warn you against:
...Do not reply to this email. Do you really think we are so stupid to be tracked by an email address? This is a temporary disposable email.
As soon as I clicked "Send", it was gone for good.
...Forget about law-enforcement authorities. As soon as I see that you are trying to contact them, the compromising material will be published.
Remember, I have access to all your devices, and I can even track your movements.
...Do not reset your devices to factory settings and do not try to get rid of your devices.
It won't help in any way. Look above - my All-seeing eye is watching all your actions. It is easy to hunt you down.

I am sorry that we met in such circumstances. Probably, everything could be different if you had been more careful about what you are doing on the Internet.
Watch yourself from now on, because even such things that you previously considered insignificant can destroy your life in the future like a butterfly effect.
I hope this is goodbye forever. However, it depends on you.

P.S. The countdown is on. The choice is yours.

Blog / SCAM: ICANN Request for verifying '[domain]' user(s)
« Last post by kat on September 03, 2024, 10:07:05 AM »
Another campaign to watch out is the ICANN verification email scam.

Here, scammers send an official looking notice to a scraped email address linking to what appear to be an official ICANN URL, complete with 'generated verification code'.

As with all scams the official looking URL cloaks the real URL link to the scammer which, subject to email client being used, should be revealed by simply moving the mouse over the messaged URL to display the actual, disguised link. It won't point to icann.org, so the email can be deleted.

IMPORTANT: as a general rule of thumb, registrant information (domain owner information) is filed and submitted by the entity through which a given domain name is registered, and not through the ICANN directly, e.g. GoDaddy. For more on checking domain registration data see "Information for Domain Name Registrants".

Quote
Dear domain name owner,

*Your action is required to prevent domain suspension*

This verification request is triggered as your e-mail address "[scraped email address]" was used in the owner contact on your domain "katsbits.com" registration. Your e-mail address was not verified before and because we have received information that this e-mail address might not be in use anymore.

The domain name registration policy of ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) requires that a valid and working e-mail address is provided with each domain registration.

To verify this requirement, we kindly request you confirm the validity of your e-mail address by following the prompt below;

https;//icann-verification.registrar.us/?email=[scraped email address]&authCode=[legitimate looking auth code]

If you do not confirm the validity of your e-mail address, all e-mail user(s) associated with this domain name may be suspended and can only be re-activated once the verification is completed.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Kind regards,

ICANN Registrar

Subject: No reply.

Body: Hello, my perverted friend.

We've actually known each other for a while, at least I know you.
You can call me Big Brother or the All-Seeing Eye.
I'm a hacker who a few months ago gained access to your device, including your browser history and webcam.
I recorded some videos of you **** to highly controversial "adult" videos.
I doubt you'd want your family, coworkers, and your entire [scraped email address] contact list to see footage of you ****,
especially considering how **** your favorite "genre".
I will also publish these videos on **** sites, they will go viral and it will be physically impossible to remove them from the Internet.

How did I do this?
Because of your disregard for internet security, I easily managed to install a Trojan on your hard disk.
Thanks to this, I was able to access all the data on your device and control it remotely.
By infecting one device, I was able to gain access to all the other devices.

My spyware is embedded in the drivers and updates its signature every few hours, so no antivirus or firewall can ever detect it.
Now I want to offer a deal: a small amount of money in exchange for your former worry free life.

Transfer $1300 USD to my bitcoin wallet:[bitcoin address]

As soon as I receive confirmation of the payment,
I will delete all the videos that compromise you, remove the virus from all your devices and you will never hear from me again.
It's a very small price for not destroying your reputation in the eyes of others, who think that you are a decent man, according to your messengers.
You can think of me as some sort of life coach who wants you to start appreciating what you have.

You have 48 hours. I will receive a notification as soon as you open this email, and from this moment, the countdown will begin.
If you've never dealt with cryptocurrency before, it's very easy. Simply type "cryptocurrency exchange" into a search engine, and then all set.

Here's what you shouldn't do:
- Don't reply to my email. It was sent from a temporary email account.
- Don't call the police.
Remember, I have access to all your devices, and as soon as I notice such activity, it will automatically lead to the publishing of all the videos.
- Don't try to reinstall your system or reset your device. First of all, I already have the videos,
and secondly, as I said, I have remote access to all your devices, and once I notice such an attempt, you know what happens.

Remember, crypto addresses are anonymous, so you won't be able to track down my wallet.

So long story short, let's resolve this situation with a benefit for me and you.
I always keep my word unless someone tries to trick me.

Lastly, a little advice for the future. Start taking your online security more seriously.
Change your passwords regularly and set up multi-factor authentication on all your accounts.

Best wishes.

FAQ on games, gaming & IT / TikTok Live Studio CAMERA requirement - workaround
« Last post by kat on September 01, 2024, 06:23:17 PM »
@katsbits

Worksaround for the new CAMERA requirement to live stream with TikTok Studio. Needs OBS for this (but Twitch should work just as well). More info + pics here https://www.katsbits.com/community/index.php/topic,1319.0.html - this is an annoying update and unnecessary requirement for live streaming, essentially blocking Users from live streaming without potentially revealing PII. Work around it using a greenscreen while being compliant with the requirement. workaround hack #greenscreen tiktoklive livestreaming camera livestudio iRL pngtuber

♬ original sound - katsbits - katsbits

Problem
As of Aug 2024 TikTok requires a camera source to be active at all times to be able to live stream through TikTok Studio. This means the user is being forced to show their face or other potentially identifying information, or showing something else, e.g. a PNGtuber or vTuber avatar. Where the user wants to live stream their desktop only, for example while gaming, the placement of an onscreen 'avatar' (virtual or real), no matter how small, may interfere with or block portions of the screen that would otherwise be visible to the viewer. To work around this problem a 'greenscreen' can be set up, essentially making the camera otherwise invisible even though it's active.

Solution
Step #1 Create a 'Greenscreen' Image
In an image editor, create an standard image that's 100% or fully saturated GREEN, 0 red and 0 blue (e.g. R:0, G:255, B:0) - this can be 1 x 1 pixel or any size up to a recommended 1920 x 1080 maximum. Save this as a PNG (preference), or JPG.

Step #2 OBS 'greenscreen'
Open OBS Studio in Scenes click the "+" to add a new Scene (optionally right-click and rename). With new Scene highlighted, in Sources click the "+" button and add an Image source. Edit the source (click the "Open Source Properties" 'cog') and browse to and load in the greenscreen image saved previously. Click OK. The image will appear in the Preview window.

Step #3 Virtual Camera
Still in OBS, once the greenscreen image is loaded, in Controls click the Start Virtual Camera button to activate the greenscreen image as a 'camera'.

Switching to TikTok Studio;

Step #4 Add Camera Source
In TikTok Studio add a Camera source (as directed by the new requirement) and set the Camera property to use OBS Virtual Camera.

Step #5 Camera Background
Scroll down and set the Background property to Green screen. Click Apply. In the Preview area the camera widget will be highlighted with a red outline but nothing will be visible within confirming the camera is now invisible to the viewer.
