[IMVU] room export issue
« on: November 22, 2013, 08:38:10 PM »
Hi again,

I'm trying to make a room in 2.64, but when I export it and open it in IMVU, the mesh is missing, I only have the furniture and avatar nodes, but none of my mesh; I have all my .xrf and .xmf files, but when I load the xmf to the imvu creator, it doesn't show anything at all... how can I fix this?

Rooms follow the same basic prep as furniture so you'll need to make sure the mesh has properly named vertex groups (which correspond to either "skeleton.Room" or specific bones where the room contains animation); has an "Armature" modifier linked by reference to the rooms Armature, and then optionally the mesh may need to be parented to the aforementioned. There's an extensive tutorial on exporting rooms from Blender for IMVU on the main site here by the way which explains the process... the bit you probably want to read the section on exporting to see if you've missed anything - it's likely to be one or more of the above as that typically results in the no-show you're seeing.

Moved this to General Content Creation as it's better suited there.
