Post by: kat on June 22, 2015, 03:00:14 PM

Video to accompany Bake Normal Maps with Blender Internal (Blender Render) (http://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/blender/bake-normal-maps.php).

Keeping the process as simple and uncomplicated as possible, the basic procedure used to generate a Normal map using Blenders default 'Internal' texture bake feature is discussed. Essentially so long as the low-resolution mesh has a UV map and image assigned (real or virtual), it's possible to Bake various types of texture map, including Normals without to much issue.

For more on the 'pros' and 'cons' of using Blender Internal read the tutorial (http://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/blender/bake-normal-maps.php). Or grab the PDF in-Store (http://www.katsbits.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=50)
