Title: [IMVU] New tutorial speak
Post by: MysterOctober on September 27, 2013, 09:21:57 PM
I am trying to refresh my brain on the many fundamentals of creating in Blender for IMVU.

The tutorials have not changed over time, yet Blender is so different, I feel like I am using it for the first time.
I can navigate some of the few basic configurations, but some where there is a translation from what I see in the Old tutorial versus what I see in the new fancy pantsy Blender interface.

Is there a thread or updated tutorial that can refresh my brain on this, or do I need to just hunker down and spend a few hours with it.
I plan to spend a few hours any ways.  A nice updated tutorial would be helpful if there is one.
I do see the template was updated to the new Blender, so I figured I would ask here before I get started on the journey once again.

Generally speaking you want to start here and first get to grips with using the new version of Blender (http://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/imvu/getting-started-with-blender-for-imvu.php#learnblender) because you're right in that the basic steps and requirements haven't changed, only the way they are done (tools, where things are etc.). The 'old' (quite a few people still use them), tutorials have been updated, just not yet uploaded. Welcome BTW.
