Title: Summer & over heating PCs
Post by: kat on June 27, 2011, 06:48:36 PM
Remember folks with Summer here clean those CPU/GPU heat-sink grills and fans to make sure they're not getting too hot with all that muck on them. If you have a laptop/notebook, raise up the back end slightly to allow a better flow of air (a paperback book or similar will do). If you have a desk-fan, use it.

I think about getting a Cooler Master HAF 912 case for this summer. According to a review I read recently it's cooling the components much better than expensive cases for around 200-300€ and this one is only 70€... more info: http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/landing/haf912/home.php?page=cooling... but yea, opening the case usually helps in summer. If it's still to hot inside I put a usual ventilator/desk-fan (looking like http://www.tempsl.be/Visuels/Produits/zoom/1048925i.jpg) next to the PC that blows air inside  ;)

Reminder for all to clean out those fans and heat-sinks now the hot (none-AGW) weather is here!

Anthropogenic Global Warming (man-made global warming). None-AGW would be... warming caused by that big ball of Hydrogen gas in the sky we call the Sun ;)
