Description: tips on using Vertex Painting, that is painting colours to a meshes structure (not to be confused with Weight Painting (https://www.katsbits.com/codex/weight-painting-imvu/)), and how they can be used to augment rooms and items where texturing may prove less desirable, for example assigning a 'cloud' texture to a mesh doesn't always work because the tonal variation of a relatively small image mapped to a large object may result in 'alignment' issues - dark areas appearing where there should be highlights. A simple way to solve these sorts of problem is to use vertex painting to colour or tint the underlying mesh, relying on a single colour image as the 'texture map' through which vertex colours can be seen (blended).

Description: more tips on using Vertex Painting to 'texture' a mesh for IMVU, especially to enhance rooms where UV unwrapping and UV mapping may be difficult or messy due to the shape of an object. In these situations using vertex colours can mean 'painting' the mesh and then using a flat colour as the texture which can then essentially be 'overridden' in IMVU when Use Vertex Color is enabled in IMVU Studio.
