Title: Simple Edge Bevel in Blender 2.63
Post by: kat on April 29, 2012, 12:11:37 PM

Edge specific Bevel is now available in Blender from version 2.63, up to and including the latest release

To Bevel, in Edit mode select first an edge (via 'Vertex' or 'Edge' select mode, "Ctrl+Tab"). Next in the 3DView Header, click "menu:Mesh > Edges > Bevel". In the ToolShelf properties that will appear, change the "Percentage" value to increase or decrease the amount of bevel applied to an edge. Important Note: there's a caveat, Bevel is based on vertex normalisation at present which means adding bevel to a 'corner' will produce a different level of deformation based on the averaged vertex-normal between adjoining elements for more information on this read the tutorial here (http://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/video/simple-edge-bevel.php).
