Title: [Blender] Action Editor & Auto-insert keyframes
Post by: kat on October 10, 2015, 05:01:08 PM

Automatically insert keyframes in the Action Editor (http://www.katsbits.com/smforum/index.php?topic=801.0).

Whilst the "Dope Sheet" and "Action Editor" can automatically insert keyframes and/or other object based pose data, the ability to activate the feature is not available, i.e. neither editor has an 'on/off' button for auto-insert. This is instead done from the master "Timeline Editor". To do this switch back to the Timeline Editor and in its Header click the red record button far-right (highlights as "Automatic keyframe insertion for Objects and Bones"), and optionally click the 'keys' button ("Automatic keyframe insertion using active Keying Set only") and set the associated data type to be inserted from the "Active Keying Set..." list ("LocRot" shown). Once done switch back to the Action Editor, pose a bone, for which Blender will then automatically insert keyframes for each unit along the linked/connecterd bone-chain.
