As a result, it can be difficult to work out or even find the appropriate information on putting a &quot;<b>ModIcon Bundle<\/b>&quot;, as they are correctly called, together when the process is unfamiliar. The following then, aims to run through the basic process of creating a product bundle in IMVU.<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"background-color: #ddecf3; color: #000;\"><p><b>Download<\/b>: <a title=\"Download source file\" href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/site\/tag\/imvu-files\/\">Katsbits IMVU Blender Source Files<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Introduction_To_IMVU_Product_Bundles\"><\/span>Introduction To IMVU Product Bundles<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>There are two basic steps to the creation of a ModIcon Bundle; 1) create a set of products as normal, a room and some furniture items for example; and 2) generate the actual bundle into which a set of products will be placed (forr example the aforementioned furniture and room). The order in which the two elements are created is not critical so one can be made before the other, or vice versa. Bundles can contain any number of items, bearing in mind that the more items contained, the larger the file and longer download time required by the client to pull in the relavent products. Product Bundles also need to contain at least one or more item\/s.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Make_An_IMVU_Product_Bundle\"><\/span>Make An IMVU Product Bundle<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To create the actual &#8216;Bundle&#8217;, which acts as a container for other products. First go to <b>Product 15956<\/b> (or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imvu.com\/shop\/product.php?products_id=15956\" rel=\"nofollow\">click this link<\/a> to be taken there). At the bottom of the page (but just above the USer Comments section) is a link &#8211; &quot;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imvu.com\/catalog\/web_submit_product.php?product_bundle=yes&#038;submit_type=new_product&#038;derived_from_product_id=15956\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b>Make New Bundle<\/b><\/a>&quot;. Click it. A new page will open.<\/p>\n<div class=\"content_images\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu_tutorials\/make-imvu-bundle.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu_tutorials\/make-imvu-bundle_sml.jpg\" alt=\"IMVU Product 15956 - ModIcon Bundle\" width=\"428\" height=\"459\" border=\"0\" title=\"IMVU Product 15956 - ModIcon Bundle\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Product 15956 is used to generate an &#8217;empty&#8217; ModIcon (product) Bundle<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>On this new page, add the appropriate details pertaining to the Bundle being generated; <i><b>required information include<\/b><\/i> &quot;<b>Product name:<\/b>&quot;, &quot;<b>Product rating:<\/b>&quot;, &quot;<b>Profit<\/b>&quot; and &quot;<b>Catalog icon image:<\/b>&quot;, then click &quot;<b>Submit<\/b>&quot; at the bottom of the page (note the cost associated with creation) to generate the new Bundle.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><b>Design note<\/b>: initially a relatively high &quot;<b>Profit<\/b>&quot; value may need to be entered, this can be altered at a later stage if necessary.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"content_images\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu_tutorials\/modicon-submit-new-bundle.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu_tutorials\/modicon-submit-new-bundle_sml.jpg\" alt=\"Adding the Bundles basic product information\" width=\"428\" height=\"695\" border=\"0\" title=\"Adding the Bundles basic product information\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Some basic product information is required in order for the bundle to be generated when &quot;Submit&quot; is clicked<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Upon clicking &quot;<b>Submit<\/b>&quot; as instructed above, a new wen page will appear. This is the bundles &quot;<b>Product Page<\/b>&quot; &#8211; what IMVU shoppers see when looking through the catalogue. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and click &quot;<b>Edit Bundle<\/b>&quot; (note that&#8217;s &quot;<b>Edit <i>BUNDLE<\/i><\/b>&quot;, not &quot;<b>Edit <i>SETTINGS<\/i><\/b>&quot;). Another page appears. This next page is where the actual <i>content<\/i> of a bundle are put together. Each item has a unique &quot;<b>PID<\/b>&quot; (&quot;<b>Product ID Number<\/b>&quot;) which identifies individual product &#8211; when products are submitted to IMVU&#8217;s catalogue an indentifying number is generated and associated with each item &#8211; these &quot;<b>PID&#8217;s<\/b>&quot; are unique and are what&#8217;s needed for bundles. In the text area towards the bottom of this new page, type (or copy\/paste) the Product ID&#8217;s of each item to be included in the bundle &#8211; there should ideally be two or more items listed. Once done, click &quot;<b>Submit<\/b>&quot; to complete the process and be taken back to the bundles Product Page as before.<\/p>\n<div class=\"content_images\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu_tutorials\/adding-products-to-bundle.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu_tutorials\/adding-products-to-bundle_sml.jpg\" alt=\"Entering the individual product ID number to the bundle\" width=\"428\" height=\"440\" border=\"0\" title=\"Entering the individual product ID number to the bundle\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the &quot;Make a bundle&quot; page, each PID to be included is typed into the text area page-bottom<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>To complete the process, clicking &quot;<b>Edit Settings<\/b>&quot; will allow the bundles Product Page and it&#8217;s &quot;<b>Description:<\/b>&quot; to be edited with plain text or html.<\/p>\n<div class=\"content_images\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu_tutorials\/competed-product-bundle.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu_tutorials\/competed-product-bundle_sml.jpg\" alt=\"Completed Product Bundle with a set of individual items included\" width=\"428\" height=\"963\" border=\"0\" title=\"Completed Product Bundle with a set of individual items included\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Editing the bundles &quot;Settings&quot; allows for the Product Page to be changed with the addition of some custom images and content, either plain text or html (shown above)<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Legacy_Instructions\"><\/span>Legacy Instructions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>As IMVU no longer uses the separaate &quot;Previewer Tool&quot; for product assembly and publishing the following is inlcuded for archival legacy purposes only and should NOT be used when making an IMVU product bundle &#8211; <b>see above for details on the current correct procedure<\/b>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Deriving_From_IMVUs_Parent_Bundle\"><\/span>Deriving From IMVU&#8217;s Parent Bundle<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Making a bundle is a two part process;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Derive from IMVU&#8217;s parent bundle (basically saving and uploading an &#8217;empty container&#8217;)<\/li>\n<li>Adding\/Editing the contents of the bundle (adding products to the container).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For reference you can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imvu.com\/shop\/product.php?products_id=15951\" title=\"Use IMVU dummy bundle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">find IMVU&#8217;s dummy bundle here<\/a>. All you need to do is <b>derive from that product as you would with any other derivation<\/b>; the initial bundle set up is no different to creating a new derived product or item.<\/p>\n<div class=\"content_images\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/imvu\/imvu_bundle.jpg\" width=\"428\" height=\"392\" alt=\"IMVU's derivable dummy bundle product\" title=\"IMVU's derivable dummy bundle product\" \/><\/p>\n<p>IMVU&#8217;s derivable dummy bundle product<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>So either,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on the &quot;<b>Derive from product<\/b>&quot; link at the bottom of the page (shown in the image above) to have that item open the previewer automatically. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Or,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the previewer and click &quot;<b>File &gt; Create a derived product<\/b>&quot; and then type &quot;<b>15951<\/b>&quot; in the text field that pops up. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Doing either of these will open the product into the previewer. At this point, nothing more needs to be done to the product here in terms of &#8216;editing&#8217; except to &quot;Save&quot; and &quot;Submit&quot; the file.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>        <b>Saving the default bundle product<\/b><br \/>\n       Save the derived product to the project folder on your computer (give it a name you&#8217;ll be able to easily reference at a later date if you make more bundles), IMVU recommends everything saved into &quot;<b>Products &gt; Examples<\/b>&quot;.       <\/li>\n<li>        <b>Submitting empty bundle product to the catalogue<\/b><br \/>\n        Click the red &quot;<b>Submit Product To IMVU Catalogue<\/b>&quot; button at the top of the previewer which opens up a product submission page;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Fill in the details<\/b> &#8211; provided some basic product information and a thumbnail for the item.<br \/>\n<b>IMPORTANT NOTE :<\/b> <b>When entering price details<\/b> makes sure to type a value that is <i><b>well in excess<\/b> of the estimate real total of the all separate products you want to include in the bundle<\/i>. If this is not done a warning will display and the process will be halted until corrected (usually pressing the &#8216;Back&#8217; button and reediting the value to a higher number is sufficient).<\/li>\n<li><i><b>Uncheck<\/b> &quot;Make product visible&quot; and &quot;Derivable&quot; for now<\/i> (so that each box has <i><b>no<\/b><\/i> tick in them).<\/li>\n<li>Click &quot;<b>Submit<\/b>&quot;.<\/li>\n<li><b>Make a note of the <i>product id<\/i><\/b> given to that item.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s part one taken care of.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"AddingEditing_Contents_Of_The_Bundle\"><\/span>Adding\/Editing Contents Of The Bundle<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>You now need to add some products into the bundle, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imvu.com\/catalog\/web_make_bundle.php?mode=edit&amp;parent_pid=xxxxxxxx\" title=\"Product bundle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the link to doing which is here<\/a>. When you go to that page you&#8217;ll see something similar to the images shown below; there are two text fields where you can enter data, &quot;<b>Parent<\/b>&quot; and &quot;<b>Sub-ids<\/b>&quot;.<\/p>\n<div class=\"content_images\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/imvu\/make_bundle.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"428\" height=\"415\" alt=\"The &quot;Make a Bundle&quot; editing page\" title=\"The &quot;Make a Bundle&quot; editing page\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The &quot;Make a Bundle&quot; editing page<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>        &quot;<b>Parent<\/b>&quot;<br \/>\n       By default the text field displays &quot;<b>xxxxxx<\/b>&quot; (or similar), this needs to be edited and changed so just select, delete and <i>type in the <b>product id<\/b> of the bundle saved in part one above<\/i>. Enter that number in that field, for example &quot;1098762&quot;.<\/li>\n<li>        &quot;<b>Sub-ids<\/b>&quot;<br \/>\n       The bottom field is where you enter the actual items you want included in the bundle, this is done by product id number only. So in that box [b]just type the product id numbers[\/b] separated by a &#8216;,&#8217; (comma) for each item you want to include (12345, 67894, 23561 and so on). Click &quot;Submit&quot; once done.
