Along the way a number of essential hints and tips are provided. <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tutorial_Prerequisites\"><\/span>Tutorial Prerequisites<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>There are two prerequisite for this tutorial;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/files\/imvu\/template_imvu_seatnodes.zip\"> IMVU seat-node sample file<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/files\/imvu\/blender2imvu_v1.4_sapphire-edition.zip\" title=\"Download the CAL3D export script for IMVU\"> Blender2CAL3D export script<\/a> (Blender 2.4(x) only).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both files are essential. Without them meshes will be incorrectly sized and it won&#8217;t be possible to export the results to CAL3D, the format IMVU uses for all it&#8217;s content. Additionally, it&#8217;s highly recommended the &quot;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/site\/imvu-getting-started\/\" title=\"Getting started with Blender for IMVU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Getting started with Blender for IMVU<\/a>&quot; be read through beforehand as it discusses in more comprehensive detail how to set everything up for use (not covered in the above to save over-burdening the Viewer).<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_to_do_with_the_Files\"><\/span>What to do with the Files<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Once the above files have been downloaded, extract the contents of both to a project folder and then start Blender 2.49a; from the &quot;<b>File<\/b>&quot; menu, select &quot;<b>Open<\/b>&quot; and then browse to the location of the file, clicking &quot;<b>Open<\/b>&quot; once <b>LMB<\/b> selected. Alternatively, simply double-click the *.blend file sitting in the project folder to automatically start Blender 2.49a.
