I am going through the process of learning to create furniture, including animated furniture, using kat's plugins. But now I'm wondering about poses themselves. Is there a tutorial available on making poses or pose animations for IMVU using Blender?

We can't make actual avatar poses (animated or static) using Blender - long story short: "compatibility conflicts". Most custom poses are built around the assumption that rooms and furniture use standard node placements (http://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/imvu/make-rooms-armatures.php#seating).

I agree with you very much. I want to talk and exchange ideas.

With the introduction of the FBX import feature it's now possible to make customs poses for furniture, and as stand alone actions.
• FBX example files and resources are here (https://www.katsbits.com/smforum/index.php?topic=960.0).
• Avatar poses for furniture (https://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/imvu/furniture-poses.php) (includes video and example file).
• Custom avatar poses for actions (https://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/imvu/make-poses.php) (includes video and example file).
