If Roblox Player keeps automatically starting after booting into Windows when it shouldn't be, it's possible to disable this in two places;
- Windows Start Up
- Roblox Device Preferences
Window StartupTo disable Windows itself (re)starting Roblox Player when the computer boots into Windows;
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc (or right-click the Task Bar) to open Task Manager, then;
- Click the Startup Apps menu option on the left.
- In the page that opens, find RobloxPlayerBeta.exe (or latterly RobloxPlayer.exe).
- Select to highlight and click the Disable button in the header.
Note that RobloxPlayerBeta.exe may also be associated with
XboxPCTray.exe.
Roblox Device PreferencesTo disable Roblox itself from (re)starting when Windows boots;
Open Roblox Player, then;
- Click the
••• More menu option on the left.
- Click
Settings, then
Device Preferences.
- Scroll down, click
Launch as startup to deactivate (slider to the left).
Disabling
Launch at startup physically removes the RobloxPlayerBeta.exe from the Task Manager's list of Startup item so it won't appear even if manually disabled in Task Manager.
