Title: [MD5] blender 2.57b export issue.
Post by: inComing on May 12, 2011, 05:13:13 PM
Hi all !

I'm trying to export into blender (v. 2.57b) a simple mesh with his skeleton and I have some difficulties during the export phase. Indeed, the MD5 exporter fails displaying an error message : "Material(obj.data.materials[0].name) # call the shader name by the material's name".

Do you have any idea to help me to solve this problem?

thx.
Regards

Check your material assignments, make sure you're only exporting the ones actually applied to the mesh. Additionally, in the "Texture" properties scroll down to "Image" sub-properties and check that datablock 'name' is the same as the "Source" file, I've been having weird issues there when the two don't match up (you can manually re-type the 'name' data, whereas the 'source' info seems to need to be placed using the file browse button).

Are you using the MD5 export script that available from the tools page (http://www.katsbits.com/tools/#md5)? Make sure you're using that (as it's the latest one).
