Title: ATI issue with Quake Live and other OpenGL games (like Q3A, RtCW or UrT)
Post by: pazur on July 28, 2010, 03:43:50 PM
Haven't checked yet (right not at work) but the new ATI 10.7 driver doesn't fix the problem with OpenGL it seems. Some people still report problems according to the official post on Quake Live forums.

The problem looks the following:

People so far fixed it by either installing an old Catalyst or placing the DLL of an old driver in the game folders: http://forums.urbanterror.info/topic/22270-bad-textures/page__st__10__p__274011&#entry274011

That's really bizarre because that looks almost exactly like the old shader overflow bug (http://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/idtech/q3map2-error-messages.php?subaction=showfull&id=1148502027&archive=&start_from=&ucat=15&) from way back when.

Yea... I remember this one from RtCW.

For me (on my 4830) the problem is fixed.
