Yes because it's a relatively solid format. It's also pretty well supported in all sorts of tools and engines (not just the ioQuake stuff), so it's still a valid format. You might want to provide a bit more information about what changes you've made, have you 'just' ported this over to 2.63+ or made more extensive updates to the old scripts? You'll get better uptake that way.
