The fix for this is two-fold; first <a href=\"https:\/\/create.imvu.com\/articles\/studio\/toolkit\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">download the Toolkit from IMVU<\/a> and install it as is normally done for any Addon, this creates the necessary directory structure for the fix; second, copy the ZIP archives contents into the <b>addons<\/b> folder generated from step one. Once this is done the Toolkit can be used as normal.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>Design note<\/b>: Toolkit does not specifically need to be installed but doing so saves having to create the directory structure necessary to get the Toolkit working.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"addon-file-path\"><\/span>Addon File Path<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Installing the Addon provides a means to verify the live path [1] that needs to be followed to fix the problem with the Toolkit not installing correctly. This should be (<i>where [username] is the Account used to log into the system, and [version] is the version number attributed to the installation, i.e. Blender 3.6 LTS is referenced simple as 3.6<\/i>);<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #E7FAEA; color: #000; font-family:courier; padding:0.5em; font-size:0.9em;\">\/Users\/<i>[username]<\/i>\/Library\/Application Support\/Blender\/<i>[version]<\/i>\/scripts\/addons\/<\/span><\/p>\n<p>For example;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #E7FAEA; color: #000; font-family:courier; padding:0.5em; font-size:0.9em;\">\/Users\/<i>katsbits<\/i>\/Library\/Application Support\/Blender\/<i>3.6<\/i>\/scripts\/addons\/<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-mac\/macos-toolkit-installation-path.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 98.5%; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-mac\/macos-toolkit-installation-path.jpg\" alt=\"Toolkit file path\" width=\"900px\" height=\"500px\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<i>Although not absolutely necessary, installing the IMVU Toolkit for Blender [1] provides a means to check where the missing files need to go.<\/i><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"missing-library\"><\/span>Missing Library<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Generally speaking the IMVU Toolkit addon needs to be installed as a User file but looking at that location in the <b>Finder<\/b> only shows Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures and so on, <b>Library<\/b>, because it&#8217;s a system location, is hidden from view. To see it, use <b>Control + Click<\/b> (<span class=\"shortcutkey\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/codex\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/keyboard-symbol-control.png\" alt=\"Control icon (MacOS)\" width=\"12px\" height=\"auto\" \/><\/span> + LMB) to access the context menu and select <b>Show View Options<\/b>. In the panel that appears click the checkbox next to <b>Show Library Folder<\/b> [2] to make the Library folder visible in Finder.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #fc0; color: #000; width:98.5%; padding: 1.0em;\"><strong>Important<\/strong>: to install IMVU Toolkit into Blender properly, access to the <strong>User<\/strong> directory is necessary. This is typically shown at the bottom of the Favourites list in Finder. If not visible, with a <strong>Finder<\/strong> instance open, click the <strong>Finder<\/strong>  menu then on <strong>Settings<\/strong> [i]. In the <strong>Finder Settings<\/strong> panel that opens, at the bottom of the <strong>Favourites<\/strong> list, click the checkbox corresponding to the <strong>Home\/House<\/strong> [ii] icon &#8211; this will be labelled the same as the current, logged in User, e.g. &#8220;<em>katsbits<\/em>&#8221; as shown below. The User associated with that item will then be available in Finder [iii] listed under Favourites.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/macos\/macos-sidebar-home.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/macos\/macos-sidebar-home.jpg\" alt=\"User Directory in MacOS\" width=\"900px\" height=\"500px\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<i>To be able to install the Toolkit for Blender access is needed to the User directory. If this is now shown, in <strong>Finder Settings<\/strong> [ii] enable the <strong>Home<\/strong> [iii] checkbox.<\/i>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-mac\/make-library-visible.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 98.5%; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-mac\/make-library-visible.jpg\" alt=\"Enable Library folder\" width=\"900px\" height=\"500px\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<i>The Toolkit is installed as a &#8216;User&#8217; file inside <b>Library<\/b>, a system folder that&#8217;s normally hidden. Use <b>Show View Options<\/b> to enable it [2].<\/i><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"copypaste-toolkit\"><\/span>Copy\/Paste Toolkit<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>If the directory has been created as a result of installing the addon, in a <b>Finder<\/b> instance click the &#8216;user&#8217; [3], e.g. &#8220;katsbits&#8221; in <b>Favourites<\/b> or &#8220;KatsBits&#8217;s MacBook&#8221; under <b>Locations<\/b>, and continue to follow the path;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #E7FAEA; color: #000; font-family:courier; padding:0.5em; font-size:0.9em;\">\\Users<br \/>\n\\<i>[username]<\/i><br \/>\n\\..\\Library<br \/>\n\\..\\..\\Application Support<br \/>\n\\..\\..\\..\\Blender<br \/>\n\\..\\..\\..\\..\\<i>[version]<\/i><br \/>\n\\..\\..\\..\\..\\..\\scripts<br \/>\n\\..\\..\\..\\..\\..\\..\\addons\/<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Open a second <b>Finder<\/b> window, locate the downloaded ZIP archive &#8211; typically its in <b>Downloads<\/b> or on the <b>Desktop<\/b> &#8211; and copy <b>IMVU-Studio-Toolkit-Blender<em>[n]<\/em><\/b> [4] from where it is, in to <b>addons<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-mac\/copy-toolkit-to-addons.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 98.5%; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-mac\/copy-toolkit-to-addons.jpg\" alt=\"Copy the Toolkit\" width=\"900px\" height=\"500px\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<i>In the &#8216;user&#8217; [3], copy the Toolkit into the <b>addons<\/b> folder [4] to complete the process (note full file path in the Finders footer).<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-mac\/working-imvu-toolkit-mac.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 98.5%; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-mac\/working-imvu-toolkit-mac.jpg\" alt=\"Working Toolkit\" width=\"900px\" height=\"500px\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<i>Once all the files are copied into addons the Toolkit should function properly, each &#8216;tool&#8217; loading correctly without error.<\/i><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"manual-folder-creation\"><\/span>Manual Folder Creation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>If the IMVU Toolkit for Blender was not installed the <b>addons<\/b> folder, and directory path to it, needs to be manually created. Starting within the system folder <b>Application Support<\/b>;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #E7FAEA; color: #000; font-family:courier; padding:0.5em; font-size:0.9em;\">\/Users\/<i>[username]<\/i>\/Library\/Application Support\/<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If the <b>Blender<\/b> folder does not exist create it &#8211; <b>Control + Click \u00bb New Folder<\/b>. Inside this new folder create a number-labelled folder that corresponds to the installed version of Blender, e.g. <b>3.6<\/b>. Inside this numbered folder create <b>scripts<\/b>.
