First we use the initial items to &#8216;prove&#8217; the process, then we take those same elements and make a very simple stool. After this is export and assembly tested in IMVU Studio a second time we add a seat node for final export, again using FBX.<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"background-color: #ddecf3; color: #000;\"><p><b>Download<\/b>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/files\/imvu\/katsbits - toolkit furniture.zip\">KatsBits &#8211; Toolkit Furniture<\/a> (1 MB, *.blend, *.fbx, *.tga). Requires Toolkit to be installed. Open files in Blender 2.93 LTS.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><b>Design note<\/b>: using the Toolkit for IMVU basic furniture can be made with little complication. Keep the following in mind however;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"furniture-template\"><\/span>Furniture Template<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>the <b>Furniture Tool<\/b> does not create <i>finished furniture<\/i>, i.e. it won&#8217;t create a &#8216;chair&#8217;, a &#8216;table&#8217;, a &#8216;Lamborghini&#8217; or other <i>finished<\/i> product as the tool cannot know what <i>type<\/i> of item is wanted. To this end all that&#8217;s placed in the scene are the basic elements to build a functional product, something that can be placed on furniture nodes, moved and manipulated around a room. To make more complex meshes an in depth exploration of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/codex\/tag\/furniture\/\">furniture meshing<\/a> is necessary (materials, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/codex\/tag\/uv-editing\/\">UV editing<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/codex\/tag\/normal-map\/\">texture baking<\/a> etc.).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-studio\/studio-toolkit-furniture.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 98.5%; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.katsbits.com\/images\/tutorials\/imvu-studio\/studio-toolkit-furniture.jpg\" alt=\"IMVU Studio Furniture Tool\" width=\"900px\" height=\"500px\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<i>The Furniture Tool doesn&#8217;t make furniture items, it simply places the basic elements into the scene, the mesh being a base object that can be edited and shaped.<\/i><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"furniture-root-node\"><\/span>Furniture Root Node<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The root node (<b>Attachment.Root<\/b>) generally shouldn&#8217;t be moved from grid centre [12] once placed (0,0,0) as this location is used to correctly anchor items onto furniture nodes in rooms.
