To do this we use Blenders <b>Weight Paint<\/b> tools, a special editing or interaction mode available in the 3D View, that makes it easier to create and manage the underlying <b>Vertex Groups<\/b> that actually control the mesh.<\/p>\n<p><b>Duration<\/b> : total c. 40 mins (00:40:00).<br \/>\n<b>Info<\/b> : 1080p | Total c. 490 MB.<br \/>\n<b>Project file<\/b> : n\/a.<br \/>\n<b>Product ID<\/b>: n\/a.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>Design note<\/b>: keep the following in mind when making clothing for IMVU;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"weight-paint-mode\"><\/span>Weight Paint Mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>to activate <b>Weight Paint<\/b> mode select Armature first [1] then mesh (last) [2]. From the editing context or Interaction Mode selector (upper-left), switch to <b>Weight Paint<\/b> [3] (alternatively press <span class=\"shortcutkey\">Ctrl<\/span> + <span class=\"shortcutkey\">Tab<\/span> to open the quick access pie menu). Repeat and select <b>Object Mode<\/b> to switch back to normal editing. To do this, select the mesh and toggle in to <b>Edit Mode<\/b> (<span class=\"shortcutkey\">Tab<\/span> &#8211; may require switching from Weight Paint mode first) and select an individual vertex (weights only visible for individual vertex selections). Open the <b>Sidebar<\/b> [4], <span class=\"shortcutkey\">N<\/span> or <b>View \u00bb Sidebar<\/b>, and click the <b>Item<\/b> tab setting it as the active property group. Expand the <b>Vertex Weights<\/b> options [5], if not already expanded, to see the weights associated with the selected vertex &#8211; all bone relationships are show regardless of influence.
