[back] Custom lowpoly game models

Navigation ^

The list below shows the current custom mapobjects and models available from Quake3Bits. There are a number of Quake 3 specific MD3 models as well as a number of ASE format models; these can be used in any game or product that supports the format, including Doom 3 powered games.

For more details click the 'Click here to download now' or 'more info' links

Latest models ^
  • kt_misc_rocks
A separate zip file of the misc. rocks used in kat1024. Low polycount means models can be 'spammed' over a level without too much of a performance hit in game.

Blender 3D *.blend source files ^
MD5 models list ^
  • Bob MD5 character model
An early version of 'Bob' a medievil character model exported to the MD5 format. Original used as an animated model in a 'proof of concept' cubemap demo project.

  • Cargo Barges - ASE
A set of barge cargo (narrow) boats in various colours and markings.
    - European camouflage
    - German Grey
    - Field Green
    - White stripe

  • Moai, Easter Island heads
A set of models based on the famous Easter Island granite 'heads'. There are two standing versions; one with and one without a neck and three types of 'hat'. Also included is a 'broken' set comprised of several sections.

  • Standing Stones
Four rock models that can be resized and rotated to any size / angle. Although built for RtCW they can be used in any Q3 based game. AI Soldier shown below for default scale comparisons.

  • Broken Stone Steps
A series of broken 'olde worlde' stone steps of various sizes. These models were used in the Return to Castle Wolfenstein 'Castle Keep' single player level.

  • Stand (tall) Torch
A 'tall' double headed (two flame heads) torch model in an 'olde worlde' style.

  • Small rocks
Two rock models that can be resized and rotated to any size / angle. Although built for RtCW they can be used in any Q3 based game. AI spawn point (orange block) shown below for scale comparisons.

  • Wooden Platforms
A series of wooden platforms with varying levels of 'decay'. Although built for RtCW they can be used in any Q3 based game. These platform models were used in Relic Hunt, an RtCW single player level.

MD3 format models ^
  • Ladder
MD3 version of the standard RtCW ladder. The model allows you to rotate the ladder to any angle without the borkage that would otherwise happen rotating small brushes.

  • German W.W.II Kubalwagon
An MD3 midpoly static 'centerpiece' vehicle model (hense the slightly higher polycount). No animations and wheels are currently fixed - may be a separate version out soon with individual wheel units.

  • 'British' Watercan
Probably a 25lt capacity can (2 hands to carry when full) Although this is a 'British' watercan there are no obvious decals so it can be used as you like it..!

  • Mushrooms
One large and one slightly smaller mushroom models. They are separate models and can be used on thier own or grouped together in however many numbers you fancy. Tris count is low so you should be able to use quite a few if in a single area without too much of an FPS hit..
